Welcome to the Bansha House
Stables Website
Bansha House Stables is based in Bansha, County Tipperary between the
towns of Cashel and Tipperary at the foot of the Galtee Mountains.
Since starting his business, Con Marnane has become a major player at
the European two-year-old-in-training sales. Con buys yearlings in
America, England, France, Germany, Italy and of course Ireland, and
presents them as ready to run two year old racehorses at the major
European Breeze-Up sales.
Our aim at Bansha House Stables is to try to pick out a bunch of
yearlings that look like sound athletes, and that have temperaments and
the looks to be top class racehorses.
When the yearlings arrive at Bansha House Stables from the sales they
are lightly broken and are then turned out into rich limestone paddocks.
We love letting the horses out into fields as they go back to nature and
unwind after the stress of the yearling sales. The horses are well fed
outside and are turned out together to mature on our rich grassland.
At the end of November the horses are brought in and the preparation for
the sales begins. They are trotted for several miles a day until
Christmas time to build up muscle slowly. From January onward they do a
lot of slow cantering to continue the important build up of muscle.
Their preparation is not rushed and over the years we have built up top
class facilities to assist in the preparation of our young horses.
We are very proud of our horses and our fantastic team of people here at
Bansha House Stables who work so hard to produce our continuous flow of
Group and Listed performers. Our success is owed greatly to them without
whom there would be no winners.
Our horses will be sold as two-year olds at major European Breeze-Up
sales and we have horses for every budget.
If you have a genuine interest in purchasing a potentially top class two
year old we extend to you an open invitation to come and view our
consignment of horses for 2010.
Our aim is to continue to produce high class winners on the racetracks
of the world. In 2010 it could be you!
